DGA Group Strengthens Senior UK Team - 26 Oct 2017

DGA Group is pleased to announce that David Aldridge and Mark Lucas have recently joined the DGA Group UK Management Team. 

David Aldridge

David joined the board of DGA to head up its UK Expert Planning Advisory team, based in London. He is a Doctor of Engineering and has for many years provided independent, professional advice on project disputes in the civil engineering and construction industries. He regularly acts as an Independent Expert in Delay and Disruption (EOT) and Project Management disputes, the experience from which he puts to good use (when involved in early negotiation and dispute avoidance processes).

David has over 25 years’ experience in engineering and construction. He started in Engineering, then Construction, Project Management, and has given proactive and reactive Planning / Programming, Value and Risk Management, and Partnering and PFI Advice. His Dispute Resolution experience spans UK and International projects varying in size from a few hundreds-of-thousands to hundreds-of-millions of pounds.

David has been given both oral and written Expert evidence to tribunals in Delay and Disruption, Programming / Planning, and Project Management across all levels of dispute resolution, from Negotiations and Mediations to the more formal processes of Adjudication, Arbitration, and Litigation.

Mark Lucas

Mark Lucas has recently joined DGA as Associate Director with responsibility for the West Midlands, South West, and South Wales areas.  Mark operates from our Birmingham City Centre offices at 1 Victoria Square and will work closely with Stuart Andrew, our Director for the Regions together with the existing regional management team of Scott Milner covering Yorkshire and the North East and Gordon Aitken for the North West, Scotland and North Wales.

Mark holds a Masters Degree in Quantity Surveying and is a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has over 30 years’ experience within all sectors of the built environment both in the UK and international arena, most recently the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he provided high level contractual and commercial management to Key Stakeholders on two prestigious mixed-use projects in Riyadh with a combined construction cost of £16.25 billion.

During his time in the UK, Mark developed high-level expertise in commercial and contractual management, dispute avoidance, resolution and management, Arbitration, Adjudication and Mediation. He also has a proven track report as an Expert Witness, dealing with matters of quantum and contract on which he has provided both written and oral testimony.

Mark has managed teams to provide successful project delivery including strategic procurement, risk evaluation, contract administration, cost consultancy, and value engineering. He has developed and delivered project risk and value management services for key financial stakeholders and equity providers, principally within the banking and finance sector.  This included project audit and monitoring, funder due diligence, project turnaround and strategic and technical advice on construction related insolvency matters at a corporate level.
