VIDEO: Construction Week Online Interviews David Gibson on the Growth of the Group in the Middle East - 22 Oct 2017
Construction Week took time to interview Group CEO David Gibson on the day of the Middle East launch event.
"UK-headquartered construction consultancy firm, DGA Group, has revealed plans to expand its presence in the UAE.
David Gibson, chief executive officer (CEO) of DGA, told Construction Week that he is optimistic about its business in Dubai, where it opened a branch office at the start of this year.
In the months since it opened its Dubai office, DGA has grown its staff to 12, a number that Gibson hopes to nearly double by the end of 2017.
"We started the [Dubai] business in January this year, and we’ve now grown the team to 12 people," he said. "We have great expectations for our Dubai business for the next 12 months. There’s a major pipeline of major projects coming online, both here in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and we are hopeful [of being able to build] our team to about 20 people [by] the end of this year."
DGA is also looking at opening a second office in the country, Gibson added, explaining: "We see the expansion in the Middle East into Abu Dhabi, [which will also be] in the next 12 months, to have a secondary office here in the UAE."
